Bridge from the future reflects a conceptual interest in the dynamic energy present in spirals and vortexes. The artwork is constructed from two sets of tapering spirals that coil in opposite directions, one of which is composed of curved steel bars and the other of triangular panels. Originally produced as a study for the site-specific work Wirbelwerk (2012), in Lenbachhaus in Munich, the structure was later coated entirely in brass and reconfigured to be displayed horizontally. The new orientation allows the visitor to gaze directly into the depths of the vortex.
