Your truths, 2025

Exhibited in the same room with Your negotiable vulnerability seen from two perspectives, this artwork employs the same phenomenon as the other installation: the surprising colours that arise through combining polarising filters and sheets of plastic. Along one side of the gallery, five circular, polarising filters are hung in a row before a curtain of transparent plastic sheets. Behind the curtain is a partition made of polarising filters and then a white wall. Fans on the ground agitate the strips of plastic intermittently. Each of the five circular filters is oriented at a different angle from the last, so that a diversity of effects is present in the array, and the fans are programmed to go on and off at various intervals. As the plastic sheets twist and turn between the two filters, the viewer glimpses an entrancing display of light, colour, and texture.
