Visual mediation consists of glass spheres mounted to the wall to form a circular arrangement 229 centimetres in diameter. The spheres radiate out from a vacant centre, with the smallest spheres located towards the midpoint and the largest at the outer periphery. Most of the spheres have been silvered in part and coated with black matte paint; the amount of coating relates to the position of the sphere around the circle, creating a progression from fully coated at the top to clear glass at the bottom. Apertures in the coated spheres offer glimpses of the mirrored interiors. As the work is filled with multiple reflections, its appearance responds to the viewer’s every movement.
