Three glass discs with concentric rings of mirrors are suspended from a ceiling, rotating at different speeds. A spotlight, aligned with the discs, projects light onto them. Though differing in size, the discs nevertheless cast equal-sized shadows onto the wall opposite the spotlight. Here, the shadow patterns create a moiré effect, while the mirrored rings also reflect the patterns onto the perimeter walls of the room.
