'The Chinese series [deals with Eliasson's] recurring interest in people being immersed in nature, but here we are also introduced to the trope of seeing people seeing, something we experience more directly in Eliasson's installations ... In The Chinese series, two chromatic keys, yellow and blue are alternately applied to images of people bathing and trekking in fog-filled locations. The manipulation of color in these three projects is not entirely new to the artist's work, though its use for atmospheric effect is more closely related to his installations.'
