In this new projection work, a spotlight shines on three rotating coloured glass discs, casting moving circles and ellipses of light on the surroundings. The three colours used here – cyan, magenta, and yellow – are the secondary colours of the additive colour system. When all three hues are combined, they produce white light, while other shades arise when only two overlap. The variations in colour and pattern are multiplied in this work through the use of colour-effect filters, which allow certain wavelengths of light to pass through the glass while reflecting the others.
