A spotlight projects a narrow beam of light, approximately the same height as the space, into the corner of a room. A slowly rotating mirror, 1.2 cm wide and 2.5 m high, is suspended from the ceiling between the spotlight and the wall. This reflects a thin line of light that scans the walls. The shadow of the mirror is cast into the corner.
