Three spotlights shine from across the courtyard through a section of the existing windows that have been cropped and reframed. The lights cast a grid of light onto the opposite wall, conjuring surrogate windows that magnify the traces and irregularities in the centuries-old glass. As visitors pass between them, the window and virtual window address each other across the gallery. This work is a reference to an earlier artwork, Love sees with eyes, not with mind, that Eliasson created in 1999 at Galleria Emi Fontana in Milan.
