Five small lighthouses, here situated in the Tuscan countryside in Italy, separate the surroundings into sections by illuminating them with different colours of light. Each lighthouse emits light through a fresnel lens, which is encased in a faceted coloured-glass housing. The area is thus mapped using a colour code rather than ordinary cartographic means.
