Radiant existence sphere contains a multitude of triangular panels that seem to swarm around its hollow centre. Black-painted panels on the outside form a fragmented, opaque skin, while the opening at the bottom of the sphere affords a view of the complex structure within. Mounted in the interstices between three layers of stainless-steel spirals are a whirlwind of triangular Fresnel lenses, mirrors, painted panels, and colour-effect filters – a special material that reflects different colours depending on the angle at which light hits it. Depending on the position of the observer, the sculpture either glows as a colourful, brightly lit sphere or floats in space as a dark, almost closed ball. A light at the centre of the sphere is reflected and amplified by the mirrors, lenses, and colour-effect filters, casting geometrically patterned shadows and a surprising mix of hues onto the surrounding walls and floor.
