Eliasson cut a circular aperture in the ceiling of Marc Foxx Gallery in Los Angeles to admit natural daylight into the space. The beam of light travelled slowly across the floor and walls of the room from sunrise to sunset, encouraging the viewer to consider the movement of the earth in relation to the sun.
